An independent panel assessed the effectiveness of amendments made in 2021 and 2022 to provide for a technology-neutral approach to:

• company meetings
• electronic communication, signing and execution of documents.

The panel made 11 recommendations in their final report. The government agreed or agreed in principle to all recommendations.

• The final report makes 10 practical recommendations to enhance the current performance reporting arrangements
• These recommendations will modernise and strengthen the RoGS and Dashboard, provide better information for users, and help improve the way government services are delivered.

• The framework sets up world‑leading protections against scams
• it creates new obligations and rules for certain businesses in sectors targeted by scammers.

The Committee is to provide independent advice to the Secretary on the appropriateness of the department’s:

• financial reporting
• performance reporting
• system of risk oversight and management
• the system of internal control.

• This document certifies the Supporting Australians tranche 3 campaign from the Department of the Treasury as compliant.

The Regulatory Initiatives Grid – Edition 1 lists announced and publicised regulatory reform priorities and initiatives that will materially affect the financial sector over the next 2 years.

The TEIS supplements other Government publications by providing information on Australian Government tax expenditures as required by Section 16 of the Charter of Budget Honesty Act 1998 and reflects policy up to and including the 2024–25 Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook.

The Regulatory Initiatives Grid (RIG) is a list of announced and publicised reform priorities and initiatives.

Treasury developed the RIG terms of reference in consultation with contributing agencies.
