In short
- This strategy sets out a coordinated, collaborative and cohesive national approach to supporting Australia’s small businesses.
The National Small Business Strategy is the first of its kind. It outlines how governments will work together to support Australian small businesses.
It is a framework for collaboration to:
- promote small businesses in government decision making
- support existing work in states and territories
- inform policy making to deliver better outcomes.
The federal, state and territory governments worked together to create the strategy.
Small Business Ministers are the stewards of the strategy.
The Small Business Ministers’ meeting will plan strategy activities. The next meeting will be in mid‑2025.
