- identify possible solutions.
The Taskforce’s final report made 7 recommendations:
- review and strengthen the ABA’s branch closure protocol
- implement branch closure impact assessments
- promote and support Bank@Post services
- maintain access to cash
- improve support for regional consumers experiencing vulnerability
- support digital connectivity and literacy
- review the APRA’s points of presence data collection to better understand how people do their banking.
They provide a way forward to help improve banking services in regional Australia.
